Channel your inner jewelry designer with this Necklace Kit based on original designs by Anni Albers, an artist with work in MoMA’s collection and featured in the Museum’s exhibition Woven Histories: Textiles and Modern Abstraction, on view April 20 through September 13, 2025. Each DIY set is inspired by a piece from a 1941 traveling exhibition of jewelry made from common objects by Albers and Black Mountain College colleague Alex Reed. Known for her textile designs, Albers held the belief that everyday materials, such as washers and bobby pins, could look "quite beautiful and even precious." This easy-to-follow project is a wonderful translation of their art and perfect for a craft night spent solo or with friends.
